PCOS related question
Hey! I am suffering from PCOS since almost 6 to 7 years. I was under medication on an off and even managed to reduce weight in 2013. But due to my studies and overall lifestyle couldn't maintain it. I have recently joined gym with the mindset to loose all the fat, built strength and stamina and to choose that as my lifestyle. I request you to kindly tell me the foods that i can have as an alternative as and when i feel hungry and the foods i must avoid( sugar i know is one of them). And any other tips that you feel i should know. Thanks a lot!

I am glad to know that you have taken the first step towards losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You must understand that PCOD is basically a pre-diabetic stage. Diet management has been proven to be beneficial for managing the symptoms of the disease and reducing weight. Due to constant hormonal fluctuations, the body goes into a weight resistant stage, wherein diet management and exercise don't work as efficiently as they otherwise would. You first need to reset your hormones by eating the correct combination of foods and more importantly set your metabolism levels and body clock right.
Next Steps
Have 6-8 small but frequent meals and follow a strict dietary regime including good amount of fibre in your diet. For more action points on how to reset your hormones and kick start metabolism to reduce weight and manage PCOD, you can contact me on direct consult.
