Hello, I understand your concern. Thank you for sharing your history clearly. I will guide you step by step. *1. Please do not take Dexona and Cyproheptadine for weight gain:* Dexona is a steroid (Dexamethasone). It can increase weight by causing water retention and fat accumulation, but it also disturbs hormones, increases blood sugar, weakens bones and worsens PCOS/PCOD in the long run. Cyproheptadine also has side effects like excessive sleepiness and hormonal imbalance. That is why your health deteriorated and weight reduced again after stopping. Please never self-medicate with these for weight gain. *2. For PCOS/PCOD and low weight:* In PCOS, the focus should be on hormonal balance, not just on increasing weight on the scale. Underweight with PCOS is also common and needs a proper diet plan, not weight-gain tablets. *3. Regarding Glutathione and Aura Glow C:* Glutathione and Vitamin C tablets are generally used for skin health and as antioxidants. They are NOT weight gain tablets and will not help in healthy weight gain. Aura Glow C may give you a glow, but it is not a treatment for PCOS or for increasing weight. Please do not take it continuously without a doctor's Instead of vit C tablet add more citrus fruit, lemon, amala in your diet. *What you can do now for healthy weight gain:* - *Eat in a balanced way:* 5-6 small meals a day. Include protein in every meal - dal, paneer, curd, eggs, chicken, soya, sprouts. Add healthy fats like peanuts, almonds, ghee, and whole grains like roti, brown rice. - *Strength training:* 20-30 min light exercise / resistance training 4 times a week helps to gain lean muscle, not just fat. - *For PCOS:* Avoid junk food, very sugary drinks and maida. Sleep 7-8 hours and manage stress, as it directly affects PCOS hormones. - *Get basic check-up:* Please consult your Gynecologist once for PCOS evaluation and get your thyroid, Vitamin D, B12 checked. There is no one "safe tablet" for weight gain that works without side effects. A personalized diet plan based on your height, weight, and PCOS status will give you sustainable results. If you wish, you can consult me for a personalized PCOS-friendly weight gain diet plan. I hope this helps. Take care. *Dt. Hello, I understand your concern. Since you have PCOS/PCOD and have previously taken Dexona and Cyproheptadine for weight gain, I would strongly advise you not to restart these medicines or take any weight-gain tablets without a doctor’s supervision. These medications can have significant side effects and are not a safe routine method for healthy weight gain. For healthy weight gain, especially with PCOS, the focus should be on a balanced calorie-surplus diet with adequate protein, healthy fats and nutrient-dense foods, rather than medicines. Your weight, BMI, menstrual history, appetite and recent blood reports should also be assessed to understand why you are finding it difficult to gain weight. Regarding glutathione or Aura Glow C, these are not weight-gain supplements and should not be taken solely for gaining weight or treating PCOS. I would also recommend checking with your doctor before starting any supplement.
Next Steps
If you share your height, current weight, menstrual pattern, typical daily diet and recent blood reports, I can guide you regarding the nutritional approach for healthy weight gain with PCOS.

20-year-old female with PCOS/PCOD who wants to gain weight, I would not recommend a “weight-gain tablet” on her own. There is no standard PCOS medicine whose purpose is healthy weight gain. PCOS treatment is individualized, and lifestyle/nutrition management remains an important part of care. Better approach for weight gain * Calorie surplus: approximately +250–350 kcal/day * Protein: around 1.2–1.5 g/kg/day * 3 main meals + 2–3 snacks * Add calorie-dense nutritious foods: paneer, curd, milk, nuts, seeds, peanut butter, dal, soy/tofu, avocado, banana * Strength training 2–3 times/week to support muscle gain. About tablets/supplements Don’t use appetite stimulants or steroid-based weight-gain tablets. They can cause unwanted effects and don’t provide healthy, sustainable weight gain.

PCOS with low body weight needs your diet, thyroid, and hormones checked together to find the real cause, not one tablet. The dexona and cyproheptadine you tried before likely explain the health dip you noticed.
Next Steps
Please book an in-person gynaecologist visit so your weight-gain plan is chosen safely for your case.
Health Tips
Please don't start glutathione or any new tablet on your own, it needs medical supervision.
