PCOS is a hormonal & lifestyle-related condition, but it is manageable and many women conceive successfully with proper care. Since you are planning for pregnancy, focus on: Weight management (even 5–7% weight loss improves ovulation) Low glycemic, high-fiber diet (millets, whole grains, pulses, vegetables, seeds) Adequate protein in every meal Regular exercise – 30–45 mins brisk walking + strength training Vitamin D correction (very important in PCOS) Stress & sleep management

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) is a hormonal condition that can affect ovulation and make conception difficult, but it is manageable. If symptoms have persisted for two years, the focus should be on correcting hormonal imbalance, improving insulin sensitivity, and restoring regular ovulation before planning pregnancy. Key Steps in PCOS Management for Conception: - Achieve and maintain a healthy weight, as even 5–10% weight reduction can improve ovulation. - Follow a balanced diet with complex carbohydrates, adequate protein, healthy fats, and high fiber to improve insulin resistance. - Avoid excess sugar, refined flour, and processed foods. - Engage in regular physical activity, combining strength training and light cardio. - Ensure adequate sleep and stress management, as stress worsens hormonal imbalance. - Check thyroid, vitamin D, insulin levels, and other hormones if not recently evaluated. PCOS can be controlled with structured lifestyle changes and medical guidance. With proper management, many women successfully conceive naturally or with minimal medical assistance.
