If the pain is being persistent only while biting it could b due to high points. Initially patient has to b evaluated thoroughly to check fr high points. If they r there trimming the crown would solve the purpose of Nt rvg to be taken taken if there is any remanemce of infection at the root apex. And has to be treated accordingly

After a root canal treatment and the placement of a cap (also known as a dental crown), it is normal to experience some sensitivity or discomfort initially. However, if you are experiencing pain when biting down on the cap, there could be a few possible reasons: Bite adjustment: Sometimes, the alignment of the dental crown may need to be adjusted to ensure that your bite is properly balanced. If the crown is slightly too high or misaligned, it can cause pain or discomfort when you bite down. Contact your dentist and explain the issue so they can evaluate your bite and make any necessary adjustments. Infection or inflammation: In some cases, despite the root canal treatment, there can still be residual infection or inflammation present in the tooth. This can cause pain when pressure is applied to the crown. It's important to schedule a follow-up appointment with your dentist, who can evaluate the tooth and determine if any further treatment or medication is needed. Cracked or damaged tooth: Occasionally, a dental crown can develop a crack or become damaged, leading to pain when biting down. If this is the case, your dentist may need to remove the crown and assess the underlying tooth for any issues. They will then determine the appropriate course of action, which may involve repairing or replacing the crown. It's essential to consult your dentist for a proper evaluation. They will be able to examine the crown, check your bite, and conduct any necessary tests to identify the source of your pain. Based on their findings, they can recommend the appropriate treatment or adjustments to alleviate your discomfort.

Hi, I would suggest you go back to your dentist. Mild height adjustment may be required for the cap.

There are two commons reasons: 1. Problem in RCT treated tooth. 2. High point in cap. Do visit a local dentist for physical evaluation and treatment (as required).
