Pain at heel
My wife is suffering from pain at her heel part. When I Google it, it shows exactly as plantar fasciitis. She is been having this pain, while she stands for hours in kitchen. After she takes rest, it will relax. Tried all pain gel but in vain. She has this problem for 2 months. Please advice to overcome this health issue.

Every heel pain is not because of heel only, many times reasons are hidden somewhere else aswell. As in your wife case, check her if she has trouble to stand on one leg? inequality in weight bearing time on left and right leg standing. Another check on her stomach, or any other digestion issue aswell; if so the Exercises protocol is completely different. Only If these test are negative then it could be because of prolonged standing creating calf muscle tightness or plantar arch abnormalities or spurs. But in both cases some relief is felt after calf streching so this exercise is totally safe and relaxing. Link of Exercise is given below https://youtu.be/ocsptosl7kq Make her do this and answer my questions to know more about your treatment.

It may be either plantar fascitis or Calceneal spur. That can be confirmed with a simple X-Ray. In both the cases 1st priority is to reduce the pain.
Next Steps
1. Contrast bath: Take to bucket, one with warm water and other one with Ice water. firstly deep your foot in warm water for 5 mins then deep in ice water for 5 mins, repeat this process 2 times, means (5 +5mins) + (5 + 5 mins). Do this twice a day for 7 to 10 days. 2. Use silicone insole on your shoes an chapels. 3. stop barefoot walking.
Health Tips
If pain continues after doing this all, then you need to visit a Physiotherapist for electrotherapy treatment.  Thank you.

Patients cant wait long to get normal or to get relief. Immediate relief is required. This problem arises due to prolong standing and over weight, and due to faulty or poor footwear. Pain gets worsen after prolong standing or if you remain in one position for long.
Next Steps
Streching of Ankle achilis tendon . (Stand on your toes for 10 to 15 repetitions 2 sets two times in a day)Contrast bath like giving heat and  cold treatment simultaneously .keep ur feet first in hot water for 3 to 4 minutes followed by keeping feet in cold water for 3 minutes. Repeat for 3 to 5 times in a day at single stretch.Wear Foot wear like sketchers sport shoe or wear Insole of soft cushion gel inside your shoes. Do your most of Activity in sitting for the time being. If u can go to Physiotherapy centre than US therapy with class 4 laser can be given for 10 days.  I hope that will help u a lot.

Hi.. As you said the heel pain aggrevates with prolonged standing, she can sit for sometime inbetween cooking, and during other daily chores. Then I would suggest her to do this simple exercise at home. Procedure: Ask her to take two tubs, in which one tub should contain warm water with rock salt and another tub should contain normal tap water. She should dip her foot in warm water for two min and then followed by regular water for two minutes. Continue this process for 15 min alternately. This exercise should be done twice a day for ten days. Note: The water level in the tub should be till her ankle height.
Next Steps
If the pain continues after ten days ask her to consult a Physiotherapist for further treatment.
Health Tips
She can wear a soft cushioned foot wear while standing. For example dr schol's foot wear.

Hai it said according to your google consultation it is plantar fasciitis why not it may be like calcaneal spur some female Because of prolonged standing u said heel but you didn’t say heel where downward or to the side some time a radiating pain may also be there did u notice any swelling like feeling by touching at the back of the lower leg just above the heel part if not then cool now kindly give her hot fermentation in a hot water bag because heel is a hard fascia so the heat may take time to get absorb and give her some soothing effect . More often the slipper used by female at home should be notice better to use a micro cellular rubber what they as MCR u can use one at home and the other at outside . Kindly do help her at this quarantine period so that she may feel happy so prolonged standing should be avoided . U can check Uric acid once the situation is improved at ur place kindly have a Physiotherapy treatment of ultrasound or shock wave therapy so it she may get better soon . All the best take care of ur family ji .
