Dear Doctor sir/madam,
I am 25 yrs old, weight 102kg, height 173cm.
Going through post pregnancy, child one yr old, I feed my child daily 5-6 times a day. I was going to gym during Jan mid to Mar mid and reduced my weight from 106kg to 102kg. I would like to reduce my weight by 25kgs (77 kg - my target). Since I'm feeding my child, I'm forced to eat milk products, more carbs, more healthy food. I do spend 1-1.5 hours daily on exercising during the lockdown period.
Kindly help me reduce weight by suggesting supplements/ dietary plans. I saw online on 2 supplements namely L Cartinine and Nutricharge. Are these both better to reduce weight?
Thanks & regards,
Akshaya Sreevatson

Hi, Here are a few tips that will help you:-
Exercise 40-45 minutes 4-5 times a week.
Eat small frequent meals every 2 -3 hours
Have whole grain cereals like millets and pulses
Eat protein rich diet (especially post workout, it will help in building muscle) and improve
metabolism.
Eat proper breakfast, as 40% of dayâs energy comes from breakfast.
Include healthy fat in your diet like nuts - almonds and walnuts, seeds like pumpkin, watermelon,
sunflower seeds, etc.
Eat fiber rich diet, it will help to gain early satiety and help you feel full - include fruits and
vegetables in your diet
Avoid junk food, oily food, processed or canned foods.
Drink a glass of water every hour daily to optimally hydrate the body.
Also start weaning off your child from breast milk to total solid foods. Too much of lactation may give rise to weaker bones. Also eat home made meals and not too much fat or carbs.
Hi Akshaya !
Good to know that you are trying to get back to a healthy weight. It’s good to breastfeed tour child till 2 years, but there’s absolutely NO NEED to eat high carbohydrates and milk products to get good quality breast milk.
As your child is already 1 year old, it’s important to give more solids and slowly reduce breastfeeding.
Start eating plenty of fresh fruits and raw vegetables - in each meal, take which ever are available in your area due to lockdown. You can stop taking milk/milk products, high fat foods and carb rich foods. AVOID taking Carnitine and any other weight loss medication, they have temporary affects and can also cause side effects , may even pass on to the baby through your milk.
A detailed assessment is important to give you a suitable diet plan that will work .

Health Tips
Stop eating carb rich food, milk products and high fat foods, AVOID any weight loss medication/supplement.
Hello
I would not advise you to take any supplements which you mentioned as you are feeding your child. It’s a myth that you need to eat a high carb diet when you are breast feeding. Weight loss is defined possible.
