Orthodontics treatment suggestions
Hi , I am 23 yrs old. I am planning to get braces for my teeth. Few of my upper front teeth are bulged outwards. Is it the right age to go for it ? If I opt for it, how much time I would have to put on the braces and what are the success rates ? What are the pros and cons of the braces ? Are any transparent braces available ? And what if , I don't opt for any braces, will I face any problem at later stage of life ? Please brief me on this. Please also suggest me some good hospitals/clinics here in Pune, where I should opt this treatment.

U have right age. Go for braces. Nearly one year depends upon your clinical examination. Transparent braces are white coloured can we put with white wire also but success of metal is best. White braces are called ceramic braces, it is second option. No problem with your face later in life. Well I am in Delhi. This much I can help you. My suggestion on practo.

Hi sir... There is no age limit for orthodontic braces treatment... You need to take OPG and lateral cephalogram to rule out the cause for upper proclined teeth... Proclined upper teeth may be due to skeletal and dental cause... skeletal cause means due to proclined maxilla (upper jaw) Dental cause means due to proclined upper front teeth Two methods can be carried out... If the cause is dental, If there is no enough space in upper jaw teeth, then extraction of two premolar followed by orthodontic braces should be done... If enough  space is there then non extraction method can be done If the cause is skeletal then orthognathic surgery of  maxilla should be done... Treatment duration will be around 12 to 18 months  . orthodontic braces treatment starts from Rs.25,000... ceramic braces treatment cost ariund 50,000 Lingual braces traetment is more esthetics and charges starts from1,50,000

Age is not important as much as your gum and periodontal health . If that is good then you can opt for braces. Whether or not you need braces is determined by your bite, if it needs correction and aesthetic consideration. Usually the treatment is for 1-1.5 years and then a retainer is given. Tooth coloured braces are available ( ceramic braces) . Maintainence of oral hygiene during treatment is important.
