Control the tongue thrusting habit
During Normal Swallowing pattern tongue should rest below behind the upper teeth on the palate
shouldn't rest and apply pressure to upper and lower teeth directly that leads increased open Bite and gaps between upper and lower front teeth
Hello, you need to visit an Orthodontist to close the gap in your teeth. time taken and total cost of treatment varies from case to case. duration of treatment may vary from 1.5-2 years and it will cost you around Rs 15,000-40,000/-
I know it's difficult to have tongue thrust problem coz you will be having a lot of speech pronounciation problem.. coming to the treatment.. open bites can be two types skeletal and dental.. skeletal open bites have to be surgically treated where as dental openbites can be orthodontically treated using braces..
We will start you with the treatment with habit breaking appliances along with braces treatment..
Pls note dental openbites close up easily but have a tendency of mild relapse..
First of all I need consultation regarding how much spacing is there and severity of open bite. Average duration of treatment is 2 years. Exact time of treatment, severity and type of braces will together decides the cost of treatment.
