My father is 64 years old he has right hand pain from 1 month, please suggest reason and remedies please

Hi..let me know if he is diabetic?or has high blood pressure?in what posture he sleeps..i mean does he sleeps putting pressure more on his right shoulder?is he having any pain in neck(cervical region) too?

if he sleeps on right side,try to counsell him to not to sleep like that..avoid using pillows,specially avoid wrong postures,dont let him keep the neck and shoulder in one position for long..do give him hot fomentation using towel and luke warm water

Avoid carrying heavy load,postion change in 15 to 20 minutes interval is of utmost importance specially when he is having this pain for last 1 month

Consult orthopaedic dr near you. Rest and ice or hot fomentation might help. Need further evaluation. Check his Uric acid levels. Make sure there is no neck problem

First of all need to knw his nature and course of pain if it numbness with tingling sensation along with pain or sometimes only numbness in neck and arm sometime then this purely due to cervical region for that he need to do hot fomentation But if he is having this symptoms only in his hand it could be due to carpel tunnel syndrome or may b other pathological or non pathological reason In second case contrast bath mother could be effective with few hand ex

Is the pain radiating all through the right hand & does he have tingling sensation? Ask him to take hot & cold packs 5 minutes each for 20 minutes around his neck .

Once the pain subsides he can do gentle neck exercises & stretches.

First correct your posture nd use hot packs for 10 to 15 min to reduce the pain, do mild arm nd neck stretching nd strengthening exercises, nd take pain killer if required

Pls keep his neck posture right. Also put hot water bottle with tolerable temperature on the painful area for 10 min. If any swelling is noted, use ice pack. Do mild arm stretches

Pain can be coz of spondylosis but will have to rule out Hot water bag can be used for 10 mins Use thin soft pillow

. Do not take high pillow more than 4" 2. Don't sleep on the pain side . Take any pain killer Take hotpack 3times a day

Hai nice to know that u had requested a help for ur father kindly u need to provide some detail about his pain area how long the pain is can he able to move the limb or can he able to tolerate it how the pain started is the movement is difficult for him to do . If u kindly say these we can give u a complete picture of treatment mean while keep some hot fermentation over the affected part for 10 minutes not more heat should be given if he is diabetic then there may be skin blister will happen and apply some pain relieving gel over the api ful area .
