Lower back pain
I am having lower back pain from a week. Should I go for cold or warm compress? I think I lifted heavy weight.

To understand how did the pain actually started a complete history is required. I would suggest to have a detailed assement done. To understand the root cause of pain. Once the cause identified,it can be treated with a proper rehab program reducing the reoccurance in future.

Start with a cold pack 2-3 times a day and take rest for at least 2 days in this time don’t lift any weight after that start with some less aggressive exercises .

Hi sir I would suggest you to go for Moist heat for 10-15 min (check on heat burns). Avoid forward bending and lifting heavy weights for a while till your pain subsides. Thank you.

You can apply ice pack or hot compression with diclofenac application, both will help relax muacles and ease the pain. If there is any swelling then consult back.

Start with cold compression for a day or two latter u can shift to warm compression. Not only compressions for full relief u need correct posture.and exercises too.
