The symptoms described—persistent fullness, lower abdominal pain, bloating, burning sensation after tea with subsequent vomiting, and reduced appetite—are most consistent with acute gastritis or functional dyspepsia, possibly aggravated by dietary irritants or recent gastrointestinal infection. Absence of significant red flag signs (such as persistent vomiting, haematemesis, jaundice, severe pain, or altered consciousness) is reassuring, but close observation is necessary
Next Steps
Take small sips of water or oral rehydration solution; avoid solid food until nausea subsides. Start a bland diet when appetite returns; avoid tea, spicy, oily, or acidic foods for a few days. Consider over-the-counter antacids or proton pump inhibitors (if not already contraindicated or allergic). Monitor for any worsening symptoms: persistent vomiting, blood in vomit/stool, high-grade fever, severe abdominal pain, or inability to keep fluids down—seek medical attention immediately if any occur. If symptoms do not improve within 48 hours or worsen, consult a physician for further evaluation, labs, and possible abdominal ultrasound
Health Tips
Rest and avoid exertion until recovery. Maintain hydration; watch urine color for signs of dehydration. Avoid self-medication with antibiotics or painkillers unless prescribed. If tingling in the fingers worsens, weakness develops, or neurological symptoms appear, prompt in-person review is indicated
