Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and weakness after taking deworming and antibiotic medicines for many days is quite common. These medicines can disturb your gut flora and irritate the stomach lining, leading to gastritis and digestive imbalance. Advices Avoid spicy, oily, and heavy foods for a few days. Take light, easily digestible meals like khichdi, curd rice, soup, or bananas. Drink plenty of water and include probiotics like curd or buttermilk to restore healthy gut bacteria. What to Monitor If the pain worsens after meals or you develop nausea or vomiting. If weakness persists despite eating normally. Management You may take a mild antacid such as Gelusil or Digene after meals for a few days. You can also take a probiotic capsule such as Econorm or Vizylac once daily after food for five days to improve digestion. Avoid self-medicating beyond this, as prolonged weakness or stomach pain may require blood and stool investigations. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately If there is persistent vomiting or blood in stool. If weakness becomes severe or you feel dizzy or dehydrated. If appetite does not return even after one week of light diet and rest. Every patient’s situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and lasting relief, it is important to discuss your medical history and symptoms in detail. You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you will receive A personalized treatment plan Safe medicine adjustments if required Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
