Hello, I understand your concern — mild headache or a heavy feeling in the head is a fairly common side effect when starting Viropil (PEP) medicines, especially in the first few weeks. Since your headache started after beginning the tablets, it is more likely related to the medicine rather than being a sign of HIV itself. Advice • Take your tablets at the same time every day, preferably after food, to reduce side effects. • Stay well hydrated and get adequate sleep. • For headache relief, you may take Paracetamol if required. What to Monitor • Frequency and severity of headache. • Any associated nausea, vomiting, visual changes, or persistent fever. Management Continue your PEP course regularly — it is very important to complete the full 28 days. Most mild side effects settle on their own. This headache does not mean HIV infection, especially since you started PEP within 72 hours, which offers good protection. When to consult a doctor immediately • If headache becomes severe or constant. • If you develop high fever, rash, chest pain, or persistent vomiting. • If you miss doses or have difficulty continuing the medicine. 👉 For further guidance and to adjust medicines safely if needed, you can connect with me directly on Practo or WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for one-on-one support. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

No .. hiv symptoms takes time and lot of people stay asymptomatic even for months... Medicine and many other things can cause headache but not everyone gets it .but if it started after medicine it is due to medicine .Till you get HIV report no one can tell you if it's due to HIV or some other cause. So never attribute it to HIV.  If you get headache just understand it will resolve after finish drug 28d regimen. Just take Omeprazole and pcm whenever you get unbearable headache else avoid it.
Next Steps
relax and take deep breathing techniques.once your test results come negative you will be fine.
Health Tips
just finish off 28days course and we will discuss it later. your main problem right now is anxiety my friend.
