Pain over the forehead and around the eyes with back of head heaviness for 4 days is most commonly due to a tension type headache from stress, poor sleep and long screen time, or due to sinusitis, and refractive error of the eyes is another common cause at your age. Since you weigh 37 kg, low haemoglobin and skipping meals can also trigger it. Please do this: keep fixed sleep timings of 7 to 8 hours, take meals on time, drink 2.5 to 3 litres of water daily, take a 5 minute break every 30 minutes of screen work and do gentle neck and shoulder stretches. For pain you may take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg after food, at most 3 times a day for 2 to 3 days only, as daily painkillers themselves cause headache. Steam inhalation helps if there is nasal block or facial tenderness. Please get your eyes tested for glasses and a haemoglobin check done. Come to the emergency at once if the headache becomes the worst ever, sudden and severe, or if there is fever with neck stiffness, vomiting, blurred or double vision, weakness of a limb, slurred speech, seizure or drowsiness. If it continues beyond a week, do consult me here (fee Rs 500) or at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj for a proper examination.
