I would advise you to go for orthodontic (braces) treatment for correction of irregularly placed teeth. In your present condition it would be very difficult to maintain proper cleaning of teeth as the toothbrush would be unable to reach all the surfaces. Also increased debris accumulation around the teeth would gradually lead to gum problems too.

Scaling is done to remove the deposits that have already accumulated on the teeth and cannot be removed by brushing..... it definitely improves gum health but it cannot guarantee that new deposits will not be formed..... the longevity of the success of this treatment depends on the follow up maintenance by the patient through daily plaque removal..... if your teeth are malaligned, plaque retention will be more and you will be requiring teeth cleaning at much shorter intervals..... smile designing can definitely be done to reduce this problem but there is no replacement for a meticulous daily oral plaque removal.... Regards....
