Iop of 19
Is 19 iop is normal for both eyes at age of 18 normal when in my old eye exam on 7 feb 2025 it was 16 iop for both eyes is this normal or should i consult a doctor.

It's normal. Minor fluctuations happen due to changes in what time of the day measurement was taken, machine calibration etc.

Not only IOP , there are other things also which are to be taken into consideration like cct , your optic disc changes , visual field.

If your optic disc examination is normal then no issues. You can get the cct done when you next visit your Ophthalmologist for corrected IOP . But your IOP is fine. No need of any intervention.

Normal iop ranges from 11-20 mmhg , 19 is borderline and corresponding corneal thickness and disc evaluation is necessary to name it .

It is borderline now.You need to do repeat checkup after 15 days.Depending on that readings you can take a call.Usually at this age it is normal only.

It's not worrisome. If any family history or ocular illness then we investigate in detail. Common iop has diurnal variations. 16 or 18 not significant difference
