o the question is.. how do we train ourselves to deal with this? We’ll be exploring a take on overthinking, understand why we then start thinking of more examples of it, explore 4 ways to deal with it & then an exercise!⁣ Self Awareness - In these moments, take a deep breath, step back, and look at the situation and how you’re responding. Stop trying to be perfect - Our lives will never be perfect because perfection doesn’t exist. Strive for progress every day. You can not control everything - When we try and control nothing! Especially our minds. Put your life into perspective - When you get into overthinking, ask yourself, “Wil this matter in 5 years, or even 5 weeks?” The 5–10 Min Dump Next time you’re overthinking something, don’t resist it, but instead try this exercise: Set a timer for 5–10 mins Allow yourself time to think, worry and analyse the situation Write down all of those thoughts as you’re thinking about it Once the timer is up, throw that piece of paper in the bin, it is now in the past. You’ve worked through it, and now you can focus on the present At last I would just like to say one thing “It’s just that simple. Work through it, focus on the present!” If this has helped you in any way, please save and share - let's spread the positivity and expand people's minds! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

Hi How long has it been since you have been feeling anxious in social situations. It sounds like you are anxious, and you want to feel comfortable in social situations. Consult a psychologist and explain about feeling anxious in social situations. In order to determine what is causing you to feel anxious in social situations with a psychologist you can talk about your childhood, relationship with family, work, sleep pattern, and lifestyle. You have food allergies, and it is known that stress can worsen allergy symptoms. Consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. With the guidance of a psychologist, you will feel better.

Hi... What you are explaining looks like a typical social anxiety or panic response to social situations. But considering your age and profession, I believe you are going through a crisis (personal/professional) from a long time and repressing it really hard, which is now coming out in these disguised forms. You don't need to work upon your symptoms. You need to work upon the root of these symptoms. The core issues that you are suffering with. Once your core issues are adequately identified and addressed, these symptoms will simply wither away. Also, please remember introversion/extroversion are preferred behaviours and not a confined category. Public speaking and social skills can be learnt and developed irrespective of one's personality type/preferences.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling using Existentialist Approach is required.
