There can be various reasons behind over-thinking, but there is no problem in thinking about different things, the situation becomes worrying when we force the brain to continue thinking about the same thing, then comes over-thinking. you are going through a tough phase in life. you might have felt nostalgic about someone/something. you have been heartbroken. you are alone and you need someone to share your thoughts with. you are thinking so much because you care about your opinions, it shouldn’t harm anyone. Truthfully saying we can’t control our ourselves from over-thinking. frankly saying nobody can help you except you. but don’t worry there are ways you can trick your mind to avoid over-thinking, humans are expert in fooling others why not fool our brain too, Take a few days off from work:- whether you are living a student or corporate life, you can still take leave, if we can’t concentrate on studies or work there won’t be any positive effect. Go on a trip with your family:- family is the best way to forget all your problems, get ready to live your childhood days. Talk to your true buddies:- meet your real annoying buddies, talk to them about your old days from kindergarten to school/college days. Smile:- I hope you are smiling now, do it again, it makes every creature of the world beautiful. Spread happiness instead of seeking it:- don’t run behind seeking happiness you will get anxious, instead of spread happiness by jokes, saying stuff you find weird. Avoid texting and calling:- do not chat or call anyone, until it’s urgent, most people stick with their phones and forget the real world. Get rid of social media:- I’m not saying you to delete Facebook and Instagram, just stop using it for a while. Forget everything:- find new faces to talk, meet people without judging them by looks, caste, tradition or personality, talk to them laugh with them.

Hello..... I understand your concern for your family. This covid time has affected most of us. So the most important step is to get vaccinated. For your concern I would say that we all love our loved ones and worried for them. If you think that you are excessively worried and this is more than the normal situation and this overthinking has other factors also attached to it , try to consult a psychologist.
