High cholesterol and thyroid
Hi there,my thyroid levels are T3 is 129.64ng/dl ,T4 is 9.8ug/dl and TSH is 3.96ulU /ml after i have taken thyroxy 25 for 2 months,and now i have given thyroxy 12.5 mg for 2 months, and my lipid profile is total cholesterol 261mg/dL and LDL IS 185MG/dL and i have been advised to take DAPCEA Tablet for 2months,As I am taking thyroid medicine do i need to take DAPCEA also or should I wait for 2 more months and check for cholesterol levels and take the medicine,and also can I stop after it reaches to normal or is it lifetime medicine , Please suggest as I am very confused Thank you

You have to continue both the medications for cholesterol and thyroid. Over a period of time you can tapper it down. Do a lifestyle modifications. Consult if needed further guidance

as your cholesterol and LDL levels are high you need to take medicine to lower the levels.bempedoic acid is relatively a newer drug ,works well ,without muscles side effects unlike statins .There should not be any confusion about it. Meanwhile with modification of your lifestyle, diet habits and regular exercise,you will be able to bring down the cholesterol levels

According to your sign and symptom you are suffering from some infection in thyroid as hypothyroidism and hypercholesterolemia. As you know that best treatment depend on the correct diagnosis and correct diagnosis depend on the complete history of the patient so please take consultation from a doctor and give complete history of the patient so that correct diagnosis will be make and then best treatment will be start

You can take that tablet for 1 month then after  1 month do again test as Lipid profile to know the effect of that medicine and medicine for thyroid can be reduce as 6.25 mg and it don't cause any side effect so you can take as live long. You should follow good life style and do excercise regularly with yoga and meditation for best improvment .

If you are able to impove your lifestyle with managing diet sleep,stress and exercise,it is possible to reduce cholesterol medicine with time but you will need guidance for that.currently cholesterol levels are high As for thyroid medication, dose may be reduced with proper lifestyle interventions,but unlikely that you will ever be off the medication.
