Hello,
I understand your concern regarding the elevated SGOT (83) and SGPT (123) levels. While your other tests, including CBC, creatinine, and blood sugar levels, appear within normal limits, elevated liver enzymes can sometimes indicate liver stress or inflammation. The alcohol intake you mentioned may have contributed to these elevated levels, although you’ve recently stopped.
To help reduce SGOT and SGPT levels, I recommend the following steps:
1. Continue avoiding alcohol entirely, as even occasional intake can affect liver health.
2. Maintain a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and low in fatty and processed foods. Foods like green leafy vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean protein are beneficial.
3. Increase your water intake to help detoxify the liver.
4. Engage in regular exercise, which you're already doing with daily walks; adding some strength training can also be beneficial.
These lifestyle modifications are often effective, but medication may be needed if the levels remain elevated. I would recommend rechecking your liver function in a month to monitor any improvement.
