Heaviness and Tightness in the chest
I'm having poor sleep issues over some days with some ongoing mental stress and the high sensitivity to light and sounds before (during) falling asleep. Last night again I couldn't sleep properly, felt anxious and had racing thoughts. From today morning I was feeling pressure and tightness in my chest, feeling very low on energy and still I continued doing my work then I checked my BP in early evening at home - it was 94/69 with pulse rate 101. Somehow I managed to get some sleep and I'm feeling little better now. In the past also, I had my BP range in 90s/ 60 to 70s whenever I had some light headedness and a feeling of fainting. What could be the reasons for this? Is this BP really low? My family history is mostly ppl with hypertension and not low bp etc...What can I do to improve the symptoms of tightness and heaviness in the chest and also to get sound sleep?  I started practicing yoga and Pranayam also but that's not helping me much yet. Please advise. Thank you in advance 🙏

For low B.p., take regular meals, some fluids like electral powder   coconut water,  etc one or 2 times daily, sit with legs spread in front for some time daily. For chest tightness, you can take voveran 50mg one every 8hours for 3 to 4 days, Mucaine gel syp 5ml every 8hours for 7 days. Get ECG and cardiac echo done to exclude any cardiac problem.

Summary of Symptoms: Insomnia, high sensitivity to light and sound. Anxiety, racing thoughts. Chest heaviness and tightness. Low BP readings (e.g. 94/69 mmHg) with high pulse rate (101 bpm). Light-headedness, low energy, fainting-like feeling. Temporary relief after sleep. Practicing yoga and pranayama with limited relief. 🧠 Most Likely Causes: Anxiety and Sleep Disturbance: Your description suggests a stress-related anxiety pattern. Physical symptoms like chest tightness and racing pulse are typical of anxiety attacks or panic episodes. Low-Normal Blood Pressure: BP in the 90s/60s is not dangerous in healthy young women if there are no symptoms. But since you feel faint or tired, relative hypotension may be affecting you during stress. Possible Autonomic Dysregulation: Sudden drop in BP with fast pulse may reflect postural hypotension or dysautonomia, worsened by stress or poor hydration. ✅ What You Can Do: 🧘 Lifestyle Adjustments: Continue yoga and pranayama, but also try guided meditation (like Yoga Nidra before sleep). Avoid screen time, caffeine, or late-night meals before sleep. Create a dark, cool, and quiet sleep environment. 💧 Hydration & Diet: Increase water and salt intake slightly, unless you have kidney/heart issues. Have frequent small meals; avoid long fasting. Include magnesium-rich foods (nuts, seeds, dark chocolate) for stress relief. 💬 Medical Advice: Visit a physician for: Detailed physical exam ECG if chest symptoms persist Thyroid, cortisol, B12, Vitamin D tests If anxiety is interfering with life, short-term use of mild anxiolytics or melatonin for sleep may be considered under guidance. ⚠️ When to Seek Immediate Help: Chest pain with shortness of breath, dizziness, or fainting. If symptoms worsen despite lifestyle changes. 🟢 Conclusion: Most likely related to anxiety + poor sleep + borderline low BP. This can be reversed with structured routine, hydration, therapy, and if needed, temporary medication.
