Health anxiety
So since past few weeks i am suffering from insomnia and elevated bp. Can lack of sleep cause elevated bp? Apart from that i was asked to do a vitb12 and vit d test, however, in lal path labs they said it will cost u more and there is a package which covers different profiles like kft, lft and fasting blood sugar. I took that as that was cheaper. But I am very scared that what if I get abnormal results and doctor declares me ill :(. Read online that kidney disease causes high bp, m scared what if i am diagnosed with that :( Also, i am going outside India next month, the though of inaccessible healthcare facilities like we do in India scares me a lot as well. Please advice me how to cope up with the situation.

Routine tests are anyway advised once a year for everyone below 40 and once in every 6 months if there's a predetermined condition. You don't have to take it the negative way. You can take it as early detection is early treatment and better rehabilitation.

You are anxious about going out of country, your comfort zone which might be presenting with such symptoms but without lab reports, we cannot comment on it. You did not mention how much is your BP, so cannot comment even on it. Stay calm, do yoga or meditation to calm your mind. Kindly consult a general physician after lab test results are obtained
