chronic gastritis can lead to a 'something stuck in the throat' sensation. The inflammation in your stomach can disrupt normal motility, leading to mild reflux that irritates the throat lining and causes local muscle spasms.
Homeopathy offers excellent solutions for both chronic gastritis and this secondary throat symptom. Because classical homeopathy is holistic, we select a remedy based on your total symptom picture—meaning the right medicine will target the root gastric inflammation, thereby resolving the throat discomfort naturally.
Please bear in mind that if this sensation turns into actual difficulty swallowing solids/liquids, pain during swallowing, or is accompanied by weight loss, a prompt medical assessment is necessary.
So, consult a nearby homeopath or consult online .

The sensation of something stuck in your throat—medically known as globus pharyngeus—frequently accompanies mild acidity, gastroesophageal reflux, or underlying gastric irritation, even when classic symptoms like nausea or vomiting are absent. When gastric juices or vapor travel upward (often called silent reflux or Laryngopharyngeal Reflux), they can irritate the sensitive mucosal lining of the throat and esophagus. Furthermore, a history of severe gastritis combined with stress or heightened esophageal nerve sensitivity can cause these symptoms to recur years later, as the local nerves remain hypersensitive to minor acid fluctuations.
While temporary antacids offer short-term suppression, addressing the root cause requires restoring proper digestive balance and calming mucosal reactivity. Classical homeopathy provides a safe, deep-acting approach that targets the gut-acid axis, reduces somatic hypersensitivity, and prevents recurrence without long-term pharmaceutical dependency.

Hello. The sensation of something being stuck or a lump in the throat, especially when you are otherwise able to swallow normally, is commonly called globus sensation. One possible cause is acid reflux or irritation of the food pipe and throat. Reflux does not always cause severe acidity or heartburn; sometimes it mainly produces this throat sensation.
Since you had a similar episode 7 years ago associated with gastritis, reflux-related irritation could be one possibility in your case. However, it is important to distinguish between a feeling of something being stuck and actual difficulty in swallowing.
If you are able to eat and drink normally and there is no vomiting, weight loss, pain while swallowing, bleeding, or progressive worsening, it is usually less concerning. Avoid spicy/oily foods, excess tea/coffee, late-night meals and lying down soon after eating, and observe whether the sensation improves.
If you would like, you can consult me with your complete history so that we can understand the possible underlying cause and plan the treatment accordingly.

Hello. The sensation of something being stuck in the throat, especially when associated with acidity and occurring intermittently, can sometimes be related to acid reflux or a globus sensation. However, it is important to distinguish this from true difficulty in swallowing.
Since you have experienced a similar episode in the past and it has recurred after several years, a detailed assessment of your digestive symptoms, eating pattern, reflux triggers, stress, bowel habits and previous investigations would be useful.
Homeopathic treatment can be considered as an individualised approach for recurrent digestive and reflux-related complaints, based on your complete symptom picture rather than treating acidity alone.
Next Steps
Please consider a consultation for a detailed case assessment. If you have difficulty or pain while swallowing, food actually getting stuck, persistent vomiting, unexplained weight loss, bleeding/black stools, or progressively worsening symptoms, please consult a gastroenterologist for appropriate evaluation. These are important warning symptoms that should not be managed solely through self-treatment.
Health Tips
Until you are evaluated, avoid very large or late meals and identify foods that clearly trigger your acidity. Avoid lying down immediately after eating

That can be because of reflux.
Disease known as GERD...
Which causes constant irritation in throat.
It can be treated with lifestyle modification and homoeopathic treatment.
What youâre describing can occur with acidity/reflux, where irritation around the food pipe or throat creates a persistent âsomething stuckâ sensation. However, similar symptoms can have other causes, so itâs important not to assume it is simply gastritis based on your previous episode.
In Classical Homoeopathy, I would look at the symptom in its broader context, your digestion, eating pattern, aggravating/relieving factors, associated symptoms, past history and overall health, rather than treating the throat sensation in isolation.
A consultation would help me understand the complete symptom picture and individualise the approach accordingly. Feel free to connect. Wish you happy Healing

Hello,
Your symptoms of acidity along with a sensation of something stuck in the throat can have several possible causes, including acid reflux/GERD, gastritis, or other throat/esophageal conditions. Since you have had severe gastritis in the past, a detailed evaluation would be advisable rather than treating only the symptom.
A complete case history is needed, including your diet, bowel habits, stress/sleep, medications, duration of symptoms, and any difficulty or pain while swallowing. If the sensation persists or you have difficulty swallowing, weight loss, vomiting, blood/black stools, chest pain, or worsening symptoms, please consult a physician/gastroenterologist promptly.

Gastritis and acidity commonly occur when the stomach lining becomes irritated or inflamed and stomach acid refluxes upward into the food pipe. Common causes include excessive spicy, oily or acidic foods, irregular meals, overeating, alcohol, smoking, excess tea/coffee, stress, prolonged fasting, obesity, and certain medicines such as NSAID painkillers. Infection with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is another important cause of chronic gastritis. Acidity may also be associated with GERD, hiatal hernia, pregnancy, or delayed stomach emptying.

Hello, thank you for sharing your symptoms.
The sensation of **something being stuck in the throat**, especially when there is acidity or gastritis, can occur with **acid reflux (GERD/LPR)**. Reflux can irritate the throat and food pipe and produce a feeling of a lump, tightness, or something stuck even when there is no actual blockage. This is commonly called a **globus sensation**.
Since you experienced a similar problem around 7 years ago during a period of severe gastritis, reflux-related irritation is one possible explanation. The absence of vomiting and nausea is reassuring, but the exact cause cannot be confirmed from symptoms alone.
Please seek medical attention promptly if you develop **difficulty or pain while swallowing, food actually getting stuck, unexplained weight loss, vomiting, blood in vomit/stool, persistent chest pain, or worsening symptoms**.
At **Unicare Homeopathy**, we can review your complete history, acidity pattern, previous investigations, diet, medications, and throat symptoms and provide individualized supportive care. If you have any previous endoscopy or investigation reports, you can share them for a more detailed assessment.
