The pain behind your molars is not because of erupting teeth. The first molar has already errupted (which usually happens at the age of 6-7 yrs). The other molars errupt at the age of 12-13 yrs. So its definitely not a errupting molars. I will advise you to please visit a dentist and get an OPG Xray. The dentist will get a better understanding of the problem.
Also, there are alot of caries. So please visit a dentist and get that filled as well or else the caries in milk teeth can damage the future permanent teeth as well.
Also the lower teeth is irregularly placed so please visit an orthodontist to fix that.
Around age 6â7, the first permanent molars erupt behind the last baby molars. This can cause gum pain or swelling behind the last molar as the tooth pushes through.
- Sometimes pain of one teeth can be felt on some other areas Especially if the pulp is exposed or infected as seen for the primary molars.
To Check if a new tooth is erupting behind the last molar â you can press on that gum region and see if it is hard or may even see part of the tooth poking through the gum.
Next Steps
- Warm salt water rinses - Avoid hard foods in that area - See a pediatric dentist or general dentist for evaluation and possible X-rays to evaluate.
Hi maam , the concern that you have mentioned sounds like the pain thats arising due to the eruption of the last molar which comes between the ages of 6 to 7 years. The above tooth is the permanent first molar.
As for the teeth in front of them, they all look severely decayed. Even though they are the milk teeth leaving them untreated can affect the permanent tooth bud below and also spread of decay can cause infection which in turn leads to pain and swelling.
Next Steps
For the eruption pain you can apply dologel which may provide transient relief. Take a piece of wet cotton apply few drops of the gel and place in the affected area and leave it for about 10 to 15 mins. Following this rinse with water.
Hi pain might be due to tooth eruption. No need to worry about that it is physiological.Main concern is about tooth with decay.Consult dentist for treatment.
Next Steps
Consult dentist

Hello,
The pain behind the last tooth might be due to the eruption of that tooth or food getting stuck under the gum there.
The main point of concern in the picture is multiple decayed teeth in the 7yr old. These teeth have to be saved for the next 4-5yrs, so please visit a dentist d get them filled.
Sometimes the pain from decayed teeth may radiate to other regions also.
Next Steps
1.Get the necessary treatment done for decayed teeth
2. Maintain good oral hygiene - brush twice a day and rinse after meals
Hi,
You need to visit a Pedodontist and get a consultation done. It is important to treat the decay teeth at the earliest. The swelling you are noticing could be due to the eruption of permanent tooth. a physical examination is required to know the main cause of pain.
