Recurrent apthous ulcers could be due to oral issues, vitamin b 12 insufficiency/deficiency, gastrointestinal issues Get your CBC, vitamin d and b 12 levels and consult a physician in your area
Recurrent mouth ulcers (1–2 episodes per month) are most commonly due to recurrent aphthous stomatitis, but the underlying cause should be evaluated rather than treating each episode alone.
It would be helpful to know:
• Are the ulcers single or multiple? How long do they take to heal?
• Any fever, weight loss, recurrent genital ulcers, eye symptoms, or joint pains?
• Any history of gastrointestinal symptoms (chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain), tobacco use, or recent medications?
Next Steps
Recommended evaluation:
• CBC with peripheral smear
• Serum ferritin/iron profile
• Vitamin B12 and folate levels
• Consider zinc level if episodes are frequent or deficiencies are suspected.
Health Tips
Continue topical ulcer treatment (e.g., Tess ointment/Beplex) during episodes, maintain good oral hygiene, avoid spicy/acidic foods, and address any nutritional deficiencies if detected.
If ulcers are large, persist for more than 2 weeks, recur very frequently, or are associated with systemic symptoms, an evaluation by a physician or oral medicine specialist is recommended to rule out conditions such as Behçet disease, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, or other systemic disorders.

nutritional deficiencies (vitamin B12, iron, folate), stress,
