Gain weight after 35
My wife is 35 years old and she is underweight(39Kg) and height is 5.4". Can someone suggest good high protein vegetarian diet or any exercise or any medication that help to gain weight without any side effects?

Go with good amount of protein intake may be it made by soya, tofu,or dals,milk products, egg also best option,along with few activities,in underweight condition u hv to focus on others things also..only protein intake not sufficient.improve digetion capacity, hemoglobin and more...Better way consult nearest dietician for better results and understanding of food list/diet.

Find out the reason behind of not gaining weight by doing concerned necessary tests and taking advice of a doctor. If only healthy diet is suggested then, eat energy dense foods, Starchy carbohydrates like potatoes, colocasia ( Arbi) , sweet potatoes, grains, millets, nuts and seeds, milk and it's pdts, paneer, butter, desi ghee . Milk shakes, banana shake, fruits, chikoo, banana,  avocado.

Before gaining weight,get a thorough blood test and assessment on gut health.Poor absorption may lead to inadequate weight gain inspite of good eating.

Good morning, Only the protein rich diet will not be helpful to gain or maintain weight. There should must be a balance diet on regular basis to follow with a proper exercise. Water intake is as much as important part of health.
