at 32 years with a weight of 39 kg, being underweight is not just a cosmetic issue—it affects immunity, hormones, energy, bones, and overall health. What you describe (losing weight quickly if you skip even one meal) usually means: Very fast metabolism Low calorie intake compared to your body’s needs Possible nutritional deficiencies Sometimes hormonal or digestive issues First, one important truth: There is no safe “magic medicine” that permanently increases weight. Most “weight gain syrups” or pills either:Increase water retention, or Contain steroids (dangerous long-term), or Just increase appetite temporarily They do not build healthy body mass. Before starting anything, you should rule out medical causes.

Being chronically underweight and losing weight easily after skipping meals usually points to high metabolism, low calorie intake consistency, poor absorption, stress, or hormonal factors, rather than a lack of effort. The goal should be healthy weight gain, not rapid gain through medicines. - Focus on calorie-dense but nutritious foods instead of large portions. - Include complex carbohydrates, adequate protein, and healthy fats at every meal. - Avoid long gaps between meals. Small, frequent meals (every 2-3 hours) help prevent weight loss when appetite is low. - Ensure sufficient protein intake to support muscle gain, along with healthy fats to increase overall calorie intake. - Add strength training or resistance exercises 2–3 times per week. Muscle gain is essential for sustainable weight increase. - Prioritise sleep and stress management, as chronic stress can suppress appetite and increase calorie burn.

To gain weight at 32, focus on nutrient -dense , calorie rich foods like protein ( lean meat, eggs, dairy) , healthy fats like nuts , avocado, ghee and complex carbs ( whole grains, rice ), in frequent, smaller meals plus strength training to build muscle and avoid skipping meals Appetite stimulant like Cyproheptadine Megastol Acetate Natural Ayurvedic Ashwagandha and Shatavari Mass gainers and shakes These are high calorie powder like optimum Nutrition mass or Muscle Blaze If you’re not hungry for a meal , have a high calorie smoothie either milk , peanut butter and protein powder Instead of three big meals, aim 5-6 small meals or calorie dense snacks throughout the day Use phone alarm to remind yourself to eat even if you don’t feel hungry IMP : If your weight loss is sudden or accompanied by other symptoms, see a doctor to rule out underlying issues like thyroid disorders or vitamin deficiencies

At 32 years of age with a body weight of 39 kg, being persistently underweight needs a proper medical and nutritional evaluation, not just medicines. First – Rule out medical causes Difficulty in gaining weight and rapid weight loss can be due to: • Thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism) • Poor appetite or malabsorption • Chronic gastritis / IBS • Anemia • Vitamin B12 / Vitamin D deficiency • Stress, anxiety, or irregular meals • Worm infestation I strongly advise basic tests: • CBC • Thyroid profile (T3, T4, TSH) • Vitamin B12 & Vitamin D • Stool test (if digestion issues) Diet & Nutrition (MOST IMPORTANT) Weight gain happens only with calorie surplus + protein. Daily tips: • Eat small, frequent meals (every 2–3 hours) • Never skip meals • Add energy-dense foods: • Milk, curd, paneer, cheese • Nuts & seeds (almonds, peanuts, walnuts) • Peanut butter • Ghee or butter in meals • Banana, mango, chikoo • Protein is essential: • Milk, curd, paneer • Eggs / dal / soy / tofu • Protein shake if needed A personalized diet chart will help you gain weight safely. Consult on Practo for same.
Next Steps
Do light strength exercises (not cardio) Adequate sleep (7–8 hours) Manage stress
Health Tips
Weight gain of 2–3 kg in 1–2 months is realistic and healthy.
