Hi I would recommend a session with detailed assessment to understand the current state with factors causing it, & maintaining it. This will help us decide the right intervention to make the behaviour manageable. In psychology, it is believed that behaviours are mostly the result of certain thoughts( self statements) and situations around. We need to have a closer look at the these factors contributing to the current state.
Next Steps
Plan a session to begin the course of therapy to make the self manageable and relaxed because I understand it is very difficult to feel such uncomfortable emotions.
