I have folliculitis for 2-3 years. I have undergone allopathic treatment and have been taking medicines for 1 year, but there hasn't been much improvement yet. The doctor has suggested laser treatment.

Laser hair removal is a genuine and accepted option when the problem is ingrown or deep-rooted hairs, since it reduces the hair follicles that keep getting inflamed. So your doctor's suggestion isn't unusual. Whether it suits you depends on which part of the body is affected and what type of folliculitis you have.
