I understand how overwhelming and worrying this situation must be - especially when a loved one is going through multiple symptoms without clear answers. It's completely natural to feel anxious when tests come back negative but the person still isn't well. Please remember that even if the problem isn't immediately identifiable, it doesn't mean it's not real or serious. The body is complex, especially when multiple factors like heart disease, alcohol use, and ongoing symptoms are involved. Here are some Possible causes for your reference 1. Alcohol withdrawal syndrome - (vibrations in the hands are classic in withdrawal) 2. Electrolyte imbalance / dehydration from diarrhea (low magnesium can cause tremor, weakness) 3. Alcohol‑induced organ damage ( especially liver)
Next Steps
Check for the following investigations, 1. CBC 2. Electrolytes (potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium) 3. kidney function 4. liver enzymes 5. Thyroid function 6. Serum glucose. 7. Possibly check amylase/lipase if abdominal involvement. 8. Check for signs of ongoing infection: CRP, ESR, maybe stool culture if diarrhea persists. 9. Check cardiac status: ECG, maybe echocardiogram or relevant follow‑ups if heart disease, especially if withdrawal or electrolyte imbalance could strain the heart.
Health Tips
1. Ensure enough fluids, oral rehydration salts if needed. 2. Take balanced meals (Alcoholics often have vitamin deficiencies (e.g. B1 vitamins, thiamine) 3. Avoid further alcohol to prevent worsening withdrawal. (But note: sudden cessation may itself be risky; medical supervision is safer) 4. Rest well. 5.Avoid stimulants (caffeine) that might worsen tremors

Immediately understand that prolonged fever is due to improper digestion. Let me know the Antibiotics that he has been administered. Also its important to let me know about his diet. If he is given idly and dosai or wheat rotis, daily, that itself can also result in prolonging fever. Also he should stop tea and coffee with milk.
