Hello Doctor,
I have been having stomach problems for the last 3 days.
Symptoms:
- On the first night, I had one episode of completely watery diarrhea.
- The next day, I had loose stools twice.
- Today, since morning, I have already passed stool 3 times.
- I still feel the urge to pass stool even after going.
- I have abdominal cramps/stomach pain and acidity.
- Yesterday, my stool was slightly greenish, and today it is loose/soft.
- I do not have fever, vomiting, or blood in the stool.
Food history:
- I ate tamarind pickle, spicy food, and food prepared with old refrigerated thecha.
- Last night I ate masala brinjal-potato curry, tomato curry, and chapati.
Other history:
- This type of stomach upset happens about 2 times a month.
- If I delay my meals and become very hungry, my acidity becomes worse.
- I took Nomepra-D for acidity and one medicine from a local medical store for diarrhea.
My questions:
1. Is this likely to be food poisoning, gastroenteritis, IBS, or something
