On 21st, I ate a large amount of sattu and 2 shawarmas at night. The next morning, I developed stomach pain, gas and 6–7 episodes of watery loose stools. Since then, I have been eating bland foods such as khichdi, curd and bread. The diarrhea has improved, but I still have constant mild abdominal pain (around 3/10), pressure, bloating and a feeling of fullness. Belching does not provide much relief. I have no fever, nausea, vomiting, blood in stool or obvious dehydration. For the symptoms, I took 3 doses of O2 (for loose motion), 3 doses of Spas (for stomach pain) and 3 doses of Omee (for gas/acidity) over the past 3 days, but I have not had significant relief. I would like to know the possible cause and whether I need any tests or further treatment.

Please don't treat yourself. You should consult with a General Physician in your area.
You didn't take an adequate dose of any of the medicines which you have mentioned.
It's probably because you took too much Sattur at once..this should resolve in a few days.Till then maintain adequate hydration.
Did not take self prescribed antibiotics for this sort of diarrhea since its probably a non infective one.Try avoid taking random antibiotics next time. This can further aggravate the diarrhea.
Next Steps
For pain take drotin ds twice-thrice daily for 2-3 days and one tablet after that as and when necessary.
For continuous loose motions, take Tab Loperamide/Lopamide 2mg one tablet immediately and wait atleast 2hrs to see if loose stools stop/reduce in frequency.May repeat after that if at all necessary.Minimise it to max 2 tablets a day.One or two tablets should suffice. Can try Tab Lomotil aslo if lopamide not available. Prefer Lopamide.
For acidity/gas, take Digene chewable tablet as and when necessary(max 4 tablets a day atleast 2 hrs apart)or may continue omee once daily for few days.
Health Tips
Can get back with stool test for RE ME CS OPC if condition doesn't resolve alongwith Blood for CBC,CRP reports.
It seems u have not much problems and having a pre and probiotics supplement should help, and inbcase for pain thats cramping should be investigated and USG will definitely help if still having. There might be some underlying disease to rule out .
Next Steps
never take antibiotics on your own it can worsen infection and diarrhea, it has their own complications.
Health Tips
ORS AND ZINC WITH PRE PROBIOTICS is the best u can do ok our own if still persist then under go USG FOR THE SAME

Persistent pain and bloating after diarrhoea may be post-infectious, but you need an abdominal examination now that symptoms have continued for a week. Keep taking ORS and light food; avoid oily or spicy meals, and do not continue antibiotics or other medicines without a prescription. Seek urgent care for worsening pain, fever, vomiting, blood/black stools or dehydration. Please book a Practo consultation with me or visit Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

Your symptoms are most likely due to acute gastroenteritis/food poisoning, with some residual gastric irritation, bloating and altered bowel function after the diarrheal illness.
The fact that the diarrhea is improving and you have no fever, vomiting, blood in stools or dehydration is reassuring.
Next Steps
For now
Continue good fluid intake/ORS and gradually return to your usual diet rather than staying on a very restricted bland diet.Avoid very oily/spicy food, alcohol and excess tea/coffee for a few days.
Avoid taking antibiotics unless specifically prescribed, as most uncomplicated foodborne diarrheal illnesses settle without antibiotics.
You can continue symptomatic treatment only as advised by your doctor.
Health Tips
Seek urgent care if you develop severe/worsening abdominal pain, fever, repeated vomiting, blood/black stools, marked abdominal distension, or signs of dehydration.
This fits your gut still settling down after the food poisoning bout. Mild bloating and pain can linger for several days even once the loose motions have stopped.
Next Steps
If there's no real improvement in two to three days, or if new symptoms like fever or blood in stool appear, please see a physician for an exam and possibly a stool test. Try not to add more over-the-counter medicines on your own meanwhile.
