Fasting as a cure for diabetes
I have had diabetes for over 14 years now and I have never been on medication. Usually my sugar test levels are abnormally high. The Hba1c  has always been above 9 and now it's touching 12... Can diet and fasting improve this condition. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. You need to cut down on total carbohydrates especially cereals like white rice and its products like poha, maida based products such as biscuits, noodles, bread and sweet fruits especially banana and mango. Exercise 4-5 days/week which includes weight training is mandatory. Add protein in the form of eggs, meat, curd and paneer in 3 meals. Increase intake of vegetables except potato and sweet potato. For personalised diet and exercise guidance please contact us.

Hi, Fasting and feasting are the worst ways to control weight and blood sugars. Here are a few tips that will help you:- Exercise 40-45 minutes 4-5 times a week. Eat small frequent meals every 2 -3 hours Eat protein rich diet (especially post workout, it will help in building muscle) and improve blood glucose. Eat proper breakfast, as 40% of day’s energy comes from breakfast. Include healthy fat in your diet like nuts - almonds and walnuts, seeds like pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower seeds, etc. Eat fiber rich diet, it will help to gain early satiety and help you feel full - include fruits and vegetables in your diet Avoid junk food, oily food, processed or canned foods. Drink a glass of water every hour daily to optimally hydrate the body. Note: the given prescription can change according to different conditions.
