Hi, Thanks for reaching out. We can understand that it can be difficult to deal with sleepiness and distractions when we want to focus on studies. It is okay to feel this way and you are not alone. It is important to improve the sleep schedule and develop a healthy lifestyle to avoid sleepiness during the day. Some things that might help, Prime your bedroom for sleep, Your bedroom should be your own personal sleep refuge, as it serves as the basis for slumber. This area must be free of distractions and have a sleeping-friendly environment. Keep it clutter free, avoid electronics near your bed and keep it comfortable. Allow yourself enough time for adequate rest, Scheduling enough time for proper sleep is one of the best ways to avoid excessive weariness. You can't get 8 hours of sleep in a 6-hour period! It takes the typical person 10 to 25 minutes to fall asleep, so schedule at least 8 to 9 hours in your day to relax and unwind without being distracted by the clock. Excessive sleep can also result in tiredness, it is important to manage the sleeping schedule. Create a relaxing bedtime routine, Preparing your mind and body for sleep might make sleeping easier and help you maintain a more consistent sleep-wake routine (which is associated with fewer sleep issues and better BMI as well). Consider what makes you feel calm and at ease. It could be a relaxing bath, a good book, or keeping a notebook - anything that helps you unwind. As you prepare for sleep, incorporate these activities into your nighttime routine. Avoid oversleeping. We all know that not getting enough sleep may make you tired, but did you realise that sleeping too much can also make you tired? Most adults require 7-9 hours of sleep, so if you sleep longer than that, you may be oversleeping. Oversleeping may cause you to feel more fatigued throughout the day. Things you need to consider to get rid of your Phone addiction are:- 1. Do not check your social media profiles daily, try cutting it down to once a day, once in two days, once on weekdays, you can customize further. 2. You still need to feel papers in your hand, Read good books, Just buy a good old book as per your area of interest. 3. Set a fixed time to check the phone like hourly, once in 2 hours. 4. Do not check your phone constantly when out with family or friends, this will give you personal space. 5. You can opt for TV instead of getting glued to your phone 6. Plan real things, Going for a walk, cleaning wardrobe, cooking. 7. Reduce your selfie addiction if you have any. A simple 1-2 group photo is enough to click for your outdoor memory. 8. Remove all unnecessary apps -Games, shopping apps(unless it is an important grocery that you want to order), but here I would again say go out and do your shopping this will help in reducing your screen time. 9. Stop checking your phone once you get in bed, Plan the time you go to sleep. Ideally, it should be between 10-11 Pm or early. 10. Cut the habit of doing a random google search for everything, unless it is very important 11. Spend more time by meditating or learning a new skills, this is the best thing to do 12. Avoid having lengthy chat conversation wherever you can rather call a friend home or meetup in real rather than doing hi, hello through chats, but if you are left with no option then chatting is ok Positive Impact it will have on you : 1. You get more real, than virtual and you gradually start spending more time with people you know. 2. Your sleeping pattern will improve and will have better concentration power. 3. By avoiding excess social media you will start seeing the difference, you will be away from the unhealthy competition. 4. You get time to complete your other tasks and day to day routine work. After spending so much time traveling I used to check my phone all the time, wasting or draining battery you can say, But now I switched to reading books, I switched my phone with a book, I sleep on time and no checking phone/Exchanging messages at night for me. Now I am back to normal and I am glad I did it.
