Chest pain
A few months ago, I experienced chest pain and consulted a doctor. They performed tests including ECG, chest X-ray, blood work, and troponin levels — all came back normal. The doctor ruled out any cardiac issue and diagnosed me with acid reflux. I took medication for it and gradually improved. However, I later began experiencing joint pain. The doctor suspected it might be typhoid, so I was prescribed antibiotics. After a month of antibiotics, the pain slightly improved, but I still experience mild chest and back pain, especially on the left side and while lying down. I returned to the doctor, and further blood tests revealed low folic acid, high cholesterol, anemia, and abnormal liver function. I have been following the recommended lifestyle changes, but I still feel mild discomfort in my throat, chest, and back. I’ve tried multiple treatments, but the issue hasn’t been fully resolved. I’m unsure what the underlying cause is and would appreciate your guidance

Your symptoms are unlikely related to cardiac issues rather due to gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal issues.you can consult a gastroenterologist do a upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to determine the cause.if the joint pain is not relieved get your CBC,RF,ANA , ESR and CRP.

Visit a nearby hospital for physical examination along with radiological and blood tests. Visit the Internal medicine department for your issues, they will themselves refer you to another department if they feel so.

Dear Patient, Thank you for sharing your detailed history. You’ve already undergone extensive evaluations, and your persistence in seeking clarity is commendable. From your description, here are the key concerns: 1. Chest Pain (Cardiac causes ruled out) – Since ECG, X-ray, and troponins were normal and GERD was initially diagnosed, this likely points towards a non-cardiac origin. However, the persistence of symptoms — especially while lying down — could suggest ongoing esophageal reflux, musculoskeletal origin, or even referred pain. 2. Joint Pain & Typhoid Diagnosis – Typhoid-related arthritis is rare and usually transient. Persistent joint pain may indicate post-viral arthralgia, reactive arthritis, or an underlying autoimmune process (like early connective tissue disease). 3. Abnormal Blood Tests: Low folic acid + anemia – This may cause fatigue, myalgias, and mild chest discomfort in some cases. High cholesterol – Important to manage for long-term cardiac health, but unlikely to cause current symptoms. Abnormal liver function – Needs correlation. Mild LFT derangement can be from medications, fatty liver, or infections. 4. Persistent Mild Discomfort in Chest, Throat, and Back – Could be non-ulcer dyspepsia, costochondritis, or even functional somatic syndromes like fibromyalgia (especially if there's fatigue and widespread discomfort). Recommendations: ✅ Upper GI endoscopy – To rule out reflux esophagitis, gastritis, or ulcers. ✅ ANA, RF, Anti-CCP, ESR, CRP – Autoimmune screening for persistent joint/back pain and mild inflammation. ✅ Ultrasound abdomen + LFT repeat – To assess liver more clearly. ✅ Thyroid Profile – Hypothyroidism may present similarly with fatigue and discomfort. ✅ Lifestyle – Continue healthy diet, reduce acidic/spicy foods, stress management. ✅ Trial of medications – Depending on evaluation: Proton pump inhibitor, muscle relaxants, or even a short course of low-dose amitriptyline may help if symptoms are partly neuropathic. You're dealing with a complex but solvable puzzle. A coordinated approach — including gastro, rheumatology, and internal medicine — may help reach the root cause. 📞 You may WhatsApp me directly on eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two for further personal guidance and clarity.

Hello, Thank you for providing such a detailed history — it helps in understanding your situation better. It’s reassuring that your cardiac workup (ECG, X-ray, troponin) came back normal. Your ongoing symptoms — mild chest, back, and throat discomfort — along with findings like low folic acid, anemia, high cholesterol, and abnormal liver function tests, suggest a multi-system issue that may not be purely cardiac or infectious. Possibilities to consider: 1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) – This can cause ongoing chest and throat discomfort, especially when lying down. 2. Nutritional deficiencies (e.g., folic acid, iron) – Can lead to generalized fatigue, pain, and even muscle/joint discomfort. 3. Hepatic dysfunction – May indirectly contribute to fatigue, body aches, or malaise. 4. Chronic inflammation or autoimmune causes – Might explain the joint pains and persistent symptoms. Suggestions: Consider seeing a gastroenterologist for further evaluation of reflux and possible liver involvement. A rheumatology opinion may also be helpful to rule out autoimmune conditions. Continue correcting nutritional deficiencies (folate, iron, etc.) as per doctor’s advice. Keep a symptom diary to track triggers, food intake, and patterns of discomfort. You’re doing the right thing by being proactive. With a systematic approach and regular follow-up, this can be better understood and managed. Wishing you good health!

Your treatments are haphazard. If chest pain is your concern you have very less chance of Heart problem with this symptoms. Your chest pain could be due to musculoskeletal causes. Need a proper history and all the reports you taken for correct diagnosis and treatment.
