Palpitations and mild chest pain
I have been in b12 folate deficiency treatment for past 2.5 months. The treatment progression was weekly b12 injection 💉 with folvite tablets taken daily once. The treatment was started for dizziness 😩 or floating sensation for past 2.5 years by neurologist. I was having 2 boiled eggs 🥚 5 days a week and non veg like chicken biriyani weekly once as my past report was had poor nutrition. Recently doctor gave Evion LC added to above treatment meds. After taking just first dose itself felt very bad and anxious and was having mild pain left side of sternum muscles. The pain felt like bruising pain and felt like burning sensation. Also it was concentrated at one place. Then penis started to shrink and was having palpitations. Also happened 2 to 3 times before.(Note - my ldl cholesterol was 111 in my previous test, bp - norma) Questions- what causes these symptoms evion lc (or) increase in ldl due to too much fatty foods like eggs, chicken biriyani. Was it a heart attack ? or panicked ?

Palpitations with chest pain should not be attributed to B12/folate treatment, eggs or chicken without evaluation. Anxiety or muscle pain are possible, but rhythm and cardiac causes must be ruled out. If pain or palpitations recur, last more than 5–10 minutes, or come with breathlessness, sweating, faintness or radiation, seek emergency care. Arrange an ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, CBC/electrolytes, thyroid and B12/folate review; further tests depend on examination. Please book a Practo consultation and avoid strenuous exertion until assessed.
