Chest pain
I have been experiencing mild pain in the center of my chest for the past 24 hours, but it still causes noticeable discomfort. I don't have a history of heart problems. Do I need to consult a cardiologist?

Hi, thank you for reaching out and sharing your symptoms. Chest pain — even if mild — should never be ignored, especially if it’s persistent or causing discomfort. While not all chest pain is cardiac in origin, it’s important to evaluate it carefully. Pain in the center of the chest can be caused by various conditions including: Musculoskeletal issues (like strain in chest wall muscles) Acid reflux or gastritis Anxiety or stress-related symptoms And less commonly, early signs of heart-related issues, even in the absence of a known history Since you’ve been experiencing this discomfort for over 24 hours, I strongly recommend that you connect with me directly so I can take a proper history, assess your risk factors, and guide you on whether tests like ECG, ECHO, or blood investigations are needed.

For gastritis relief, try sipping on ginger tea or chamomile tea to help calm the stomach, and avoid spicy or acidic foods that can irritate the stomach lining.
