If you're experiencing throbbing pain in the socket area after wisdom tooth removal, it's possible that it could be a sign of dry socket. Dry socket occurs when the blood clot that forms after the extraction becomes dislodged or dissolves, exposing the underlying nerves and bone. This can lead to intense pain and discomfort. However, it's important to consult with your dentist or oral surgeon for an accurate diagnosis. They will be able to examine your extraction site and determine if it is indeed a dry socket or if there may be another underlying issue causing your symptoms. In the meantime, you can try some self-care measures to alleviate the pain. These may include rinsing your mouth gently with warm saltwater, using over-the-counter pain relievers as directed, and avoiding hot, spicy, or hard foods that could irritate the area. It's crucial to follow your dentist's post-operative instructions and maintain good oral hygiene by keeping the extraction site clean. Remember, only your dentist or oral surgeon can provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan based on your specific situation. I recommend reaching out to them as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms and get appropriate advice.

Picture is not clear of the socket , in fact the socket is not visible only the suture can be seen. If it is paining for more than 3 days now, you must visit the dentist as early as possible and get it physically examined as it will help the dentist to come to correct diagnosis.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist as soon as possible and get a correct diagnosis done.

The picture doesn’t show the extraction socket, only the suture and a little area behind it. If the pain is persistent, visit the dentist and get the surgical site examined for dry socket..Get an xray too, if advised. Dry socket may happen if you lose the blood clot due to improper oral hygiene and care , cigarette smoking , wound infection etc. If that happens, it needs debridement and dressing and care .
Next Steps
Visit your dentist and get check up and xray done. The suture may be removed at the same visit.

Looks normal. Maintain oral hygiene. Warm saline rinses thrice a day. Sometimes pain can persist for 7-10 days. Visit a local dentist for physical evaluation and get an x ray done(if required).
