Hey
Rumination of thoughts may lead to sleep disturbance. It's not necessary that these thoughts will always be negative, they can even be related to daily activities. If this problem is persisting since long time then you should consult a psychiatrist about it. As persisted sleep disturbance may lead to other physical and mental issues.
You may be experiencing insomnia, which can occur even when you’re physically tired. Racing thoughts don’t have to be negative to interfere with sleep. Try maintaining good sleep hygiene, avoiding screens and caffeine before bed, and keeping a consistent sleep schedule. If this has been happening for more than 3 months or is affecting your daily life, consult a psychiatrist or sleep specialist for a proper evaluation.
