The results summary shows low vitamin d and b 12,high total cholesterol. He could take vitamin d 60000 iu once a week for atleast 8 weeks, meganeuron od plus once a day for 2 months
Vitd3 vitb12 deficiency.
Uprise d60k once a week for eight weeks followed by one per month for six months a complete therapy by WHO for vit d3.
Neurokind od after dinner for two months b12.
The focus should be on 3 things.
1) Vit D and B12 supplements.
2) Cholesterol is through the roof.
Check: Whether he took a high fat diet/alcohol(alcohol induced rise may stay upto 72hrs in blood) within 24 hours before the test.
If yes, then it could give an erroneous high level.
Next Steps
Life Style Changes:
1) avoid alcohol, fatty food, and high carb diets.
2) adopt an active lifestyle (physical work, exercises etc.)
There is vit D and B12 deficiency. What diet you follow veg/ non veg , what are the symptoms . Lifestyle modification with supplementation should be doin good
Kindly consult me and provide proper details before jumping into treatment options as per lab reports , provide basic details like age personal, family and previous medical history of the patient
As high cholesterol can be treated by considering risk factors by lifestyle modifications and starting statins.
Vit deficiencies like vit d can be corrected by tab drise 60 k once a week to even taking arachitol 6l IU im first before taking tablets
Next Steps
Get physical examination as well to corelate with lab reports
The clarity of picture is missing
Is the total cholesterol value :261.1mg/dl,
Is the vitamin d value: 2.05ng/ml
If yes..then he is having abnormally high cholesterol levels
And vitamin d levels (if they are below 30ng/ml) seemingly low assuming it is a value of 2.05ng/ml
Then i will prescribe treatment for both
And the vitamin b12 value is also low(141pg/ml)..will prescribe for this one too (b12 deficiency)
Next Steps
1)Tab.ATORVAS40 1/2 tab night time for 1month
2)Tab WELFOLD3 daily one tablet in afternoon for 1month
(Incl. vitd3+b12)
Health Tips
Avoid excessive carbohydrates and oil foods
Daily exercise/walk for 30mins
Repeat the lipid profile blood test after 1month to look for response.
Regarding the reports you have posted, the main concerns are with low vitd3 level, high cholesterol, and low vitamin B12.
Management -
1) Diet- avoid fatty and oily and spicy diet
2) brisk walking every day morning/ evening for 30 mins
3) Add fat free milk and milk based product to your diet in appropriate amount
4)Add sufficient green vegetables/salad in your diet
Medical management
1)Uprise D3- 1 tab once weekly for 6 weeks
2) Tab Atorva(20), once daily at night after dinner
Next Steps
repeat blood investigation - vitd3, lipid profile after 3 months
Based on the report, most parameters are normal. However, there are three findings that need attention:
• Vitamin B12: 141 pg/ml – this indicates Vitamin B12 deficiency.
• Vitamin D: 9.05 ng/ml – this indicates severe Vitamin D deficiency.
• Total Cholesterol: 261 mg/dl – this is high and increases long-term cardiovascular risk.
Kidney function, liver enzymes, hemoglobin, iron studies, HbA1c, calcium, and thyroid function appear normal.
Next Steps
For Vitamin D deficiency:
• Tablet **Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once weekly for 8 weeks, then once monthly for 3 months.
For Vitamin B12 deficiency:
• Tablet **Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg once daily for 2–3 months.
For high cholesterol:
• First step should be lifestyle modification for 3 months (diet and exercise).
• If cholesterol remains above target after lifestyle correction, a doctor may consider a statin such as Atorvastatin depending on overall cardiovascular risk.
It would also be reasonable to repeat Lipid Profile, Vitamin B12 Test, and Vitamin D Test after about 3 months.
Health Tips
• Sun exposure for 20–30 minutes daily helps improve Vitamin D levels.
• Increase foods rich in B12 such as eggs, dairy products, fish, and chicken.
• Reduce fried foods, red meat, bakery items, and processed snacks to improve cholesterol.
• Include oats, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and regular exercise (30–40 minutes walking daily).
Most of these issues are easily correctable with supplements and lifestyle changes.
If you would like, you can book an online consultation and share the complete detailed report and medical history, and I can help tailor the exact treatment plan and follow-up schedule for your husband.
He has high cholesterol, that can be corrected by healthy life style.
Deficiency of vit b12 and d can be corrected by taking fortified cereals, mushrooms, eggs, milk and milk products, nuts, berries.
Tab neurobion forte one daily for 8 weeks, Tab uprise 60,000 units once a week for 8 weeks.
Repeat tests after 8
