Blood Pressure medication
I started the medicine to control the blood pressure at the age of 37 with Telma H 40 , Pressure is under controlled by medicine ( 120/80) mm. After one year another doctor changed to Telvas 40 inplace of Telma H 40 and he said that telma h 40 was high power with respect to telvas & will monitor the pressure. After use of Telvas 40 for last 1 month pressure  is remain same , feel well , no problem. My concern changes of medicine from telma to telvas will be problem in future or will get back to original telma h 40 ?? ..please advise... NB: I was diagnosed with hypertensed while I started the medicine before 1 year . Noticed that my pressure is fluctuating while getting tensed and feeling palpitations on that particular moment it reached 170/100 mm,   not remain constantly. However, doctor prescribed to start the  medicine .. is it really needed to continue whole life ??

Telvas is also Telmisartan. It is more on Doctor's whims and fancies rather than concrete medical evidence.

Both the medicines are combination of arb and different types diuretics. As your BP is normal, continue with the same medicine. When the BP is controlled with a specific tablet, practice is to continue indefinitely unless your doctor has some concern , substitute with a different tablet.Bp medicines are mostly taken lifelong.

No problem with change of medicine., both contain telmisartan H is telmisartan with hydrochlorthiazide,, I.e. a diuretic,  whereas telvas is telmisartan with chlorthalidone, another diuretic molecule.Antihypertensive meds are usually for life. The dose may reduce or increase, the molecule may remain same, another added or may be changed. Choice of meds and their continuity depends on b.p. levels, circumstances ( for example any heart attack, pregnancy etc)), tolerance to med and development of any side effects.
Next Steps
Take salt restricted, fat free diet. Stay relaxed physically and mentally relaxed, do regular physical exercise.  Thus the requirement of meds may go down to minimal.

Accurate diagnosis of hypertension can't be made from isolated or intermittent BP readings, as blood pressure naturally fluctuates throughout the day. It can also rise temporarily due to pain, anxiety, or stress. To confirm whether you truly have hypertension, the most reliable method is Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM). You can get this done at most corporate hospitals on an outpatient basis—admission is not required. A portable monitor is attached to your arm and worn for 24 hours, including during sleep. It automatically records your BP at regular intervals. At the end of the period, a detailed report is generated showing your average blood pressure throughout the day and night. This helps in accurately diagnosing hypertension.
Next Steps
ABPM and hypertension medication if required.
