Hi No need to be scared. Have something that's easily digestible for now like curd rice, idli along with fibre rich food like leafy vegetables, cucumber, banana. Avoid high protein and fried food for the time being. Try to walk for 10 min after a meal.

Possible Reasons for Your Symptoms Functional bowel issue (IBS – Irritable Bowel Syndrome): Can cause alternating constipation and loose stools, bloating, feeling of incomplete evacuation. Diet-related changes: A sudden shift to high-fiber foods (like millets and green vegetables) can sometimes cause excess gas, bloating, or irregular motions until your gut adjusts. Constipation with overflow diarrhea: If stools are hard to pass, liquid stool may leak around them. Food intolerance (e.g., lactose, gluten, FODMAPs): Can cause bloating and loose stool. Warning signs to watch for ("Red flags") Blood in stool or black/tarry stools,Unexplained weight loss,Persistent vomiting,Severe abdominal pain or distension What you can try now Hydration: Drink at least 2–3 L water daily. Balanced diet: Too much fiber suddenly can worsen bloating. Add rice/wheat slowly back in small amounts. Avoid gas-forming foods: Excessive millets, cabbage, onion, beans, carbonated drinks. Regular routine: Try fixed meal times and daily walking/exercise. Check thyroid: Since constipation and bloating can be linked. Next Step Since this has been ongoing for 4 weeks, it’s best to: Get basic tests: CBC, thyroid function, stool routine, ultrasound abdomen If symptoms persist or worsen, a gastroenterology consult and possibly colonoscopy may be needed to rule out structural issues.

Though u follow a strict diet, following a good diet refers to having a balanced diet with all necessary nutrients in a proportioned manner i.e, look into the calorie intake. Try to add more fiber rich foods like beans, pears, almonds, peas. Though millets give u the feeling of satiety, u need to adjust other carbs, proteins for a proper bowel movement. Take plenty of water, try to drink warm water after u wake up, as it helps in ur bowel movements. Also look into other nutrients and take supplements, as u r following a diet

Hello, I understand your concern. Based on the history you’ve shared, your symptoms of bloating, altered bowel habits (constipation with occasional loose stools), and feeling of incomplete evacuation can be due to several reasons such as: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) – common cause of alternating constipation and loose stools, often worsened by stress or dietary changes. Dietary factors – sudden shift to only millets and green vegetables may sometimes increase bloating or gas. And various other causes can be the reason of such symptoms. To reach to any diagnosis, we would need to get some blood tests done and stool tests too. Please get in touch and book a consultation through practo and i can help you further.
Next Steps
Get a consultation for proper diagnosis
Health Tips

The problem seems to be proper hydration. Lot of fluid is needed to digest millets properly and get proper utilisation of their fibre content. Try taking warm milk at night. Regulate your fluid inkae. Take two glasses of warm water when you wake up

Alternating diarrhoea and constipation could be suggestive of a chronic bowel problem which will require consultation and evaluation for probable causes.
Next Steps
Kindly schedule a consultation for the same.
Health Tips
Applying excessive pressure can lead to piles and bleeding from anus. Kindly avoid the same. Drink plenty of water. Do not stress too much as stress can also be a cause for constipation.
