ARV VACCINE QUERY
I want to enquire that if a person gets fully vaccinated against rabies i.e four doses of vaccine on respective time schedule and after that the person is bitten again by a dog or suspected rabid animal WITHIN A 5 MONTH SPAN, does he have to get vaccinated again and if not then till how long does the ARV vaccine provides immunity.

Modern rabies vaccines provide life long immunity. If re exposure is within 3 months of vaccination , no booster required. But if 5 months have passed and there is re exposure 2 boosters at 0 and 3 days recommended.
