Hi,
I understand your struggle, and it’s heavy to carry alone. What you describe, persistent anxiety, sexual worries, mood swings, physical symptoms, fits generalized anxiety with performance anxiety, possibly mild depression..
You’re not “too young” for help. A psychiatrist can guide whether therapy alone works or if short-term medication is needed. SSRIs can help many, but side effects may include sleep changes, stomach upset, or lowered libido. Dependence doesn’t happen the way it does with addictive drugs most people taper off safely under medical guidance.
Therapy, lifestyle, and support are just as important as medicine. You deserve clarity, not confusion.
Next Steps
Practice slow breathing (inhale 4 sec, hold 2, exhale 6) when racing thoughts hit.
Keep a “worry journal”—write down your thoughts, then close it, so they don’t loop in your head.
Exercise daily, even a walk, to calm the nervous system.
Limit caffeine and phone use before sleep
Health Tips
Remind yourself: anxiety magnifies the problem, it doesn’t define you.
Open, honest talk with your partner reduces fear of judgment.
Therapy (like CBT or sex therapy) builds lasting confidence.
The mix of anxiety, overthinking, sexual performance worries, mood swings, and physical symptoms like dizziness and headaches has been affecting your daily life for several months now. This does suggest that professional help would be beneficial â not because youâre âtoo youngâ or âweak,â but because anxiety and depression are medical conditions, and early support often leads to quicker recovery.
Next Steps
Meet a psychologist/therapist â Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and sex therapy are very effective for performance anxiety, premature ejaculation, and overthinking.
Health Tips
Youâre not alone: Many men your age face these same struggles. With therapy and, if needed, medical support, things can improve significantly.

Many of us are suffering with anxiety and are doing well in our life with proper treatment
" If a person takes medication without guidance it may be psychiatric or for other physical conditions without proper guidance, merely on the basis of net information, will have negative consequences"

Hi
At 25, this feels overwhelming, but it’s also a very common age for anxiety and sexual performance concerns to show up strongly. The good part is you’re already reflecting on what’s happening, which shows insight and motivation to get better.
Here’s what you can do: start with therapy, because cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) works very well for anxiety, overthinking, and performance anxiety. It will help you break the loop of sexual thoughts and fear that is keeping the problem alive. Medication (like SSRIs) can be prescribed by a psychiatrist if your anxiety and depressive symptoms feel too heavy to manage on your own, but dependency is rare when these medicines are taken under medical supervision. Long-term use can have side effects like weight gain, reduced libido, or emotional blunting but these don’t happen to everyone, and your doctor will balance risks versus benefits. Many people use them safely for years if needed. The key is a combined approach: therapy for skills + medicines if required.
Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
Majority of psychiatric medications apart from.benzos are not medications under dependence category. It depends on your wish whether to continue live with these sufferings or get some help and try if the emotional and Behavioral symptoms could be modified. World health organisation's definition of mental health is not mere living but living happily and productively. SSRIs are wonderful and safe medications. Good luck
What you are experiencing - overthinking, anxiety, mood changes, sexual performance worries, and physical symptoms like headaches and dizziness - are all signs of anxiety disorder, sometimes mixed with depressive features. The good news is that these conditions are very treatable. Antidepressants such as SSRIs are commonly prescribed when symptoms interfere with daily life, and they are considered safe even for long-term use when monitored properly. Dependence does not occur the way it does with sleeping pills or anti-anxiety sedatives.
Next Steps
It's advisable to consult a psychiatrist who can assess whether medication is needed right now, and if so, start with the lowest effective dose. Alongside this, counselling/ therapy plays a crucial role in improving confidence, reducing overthinking, and addressing performance anxiety. You may consult with me to start working on the counselling part.
Health Tips
Maintain regular sleep and eating routines, engage in physical exercise (helps reduce anxiety and boost mood), and avoid searching repeatedly about side effects online as this increases worry. Practice simple grounding exercises (deep breathing, journaling thoughts) to manage overthinking until professional help begins.
