Anxiety Issue-Continuation of Medication
I was on anxiety medication(nexito 5mg & Clonazepam 0.5mg)from last 15 days and i am feeling good. But i still feel symptoms like tingling hands, weakness in neck and getting sweat behind ears and feeling some low confidence in doing the things. I have consulted my psychiatrist yesterday and he suggested me Pramper forte(escitalopram 10mg and Clonazepam 0.5mg) for another 20 days. Considering the information which i have(i am not willing to continue medication, but rather i want to improve myself with self motivation) Is it good idea to do so? Or should i go for medication for another 20days. Since i am worried of getting addicted and having side effects. Please advise!

Do not worry regarding addiction and dependence for these medications. When a person takes medication on his own on a very high dose, frequency and for many years without prescription by a doctor then dependence develops  (only for Benzodiapines). So you are taking escitalopram, not develops dependence and Clonazepam that is a BZD will not create dependence on this therapeutic dose, Trust your doctor, not depend solely net information, partially correct many times. If you stop medications, symptoms may relapse and worsen your personal, professional and social life

I think you should take medicines for a period of time (proper course of medicine) and along with you should do relaxation techniques and psychotherapy as both together will give better outcome and then we can tapered down medicine's accordingly
