Anxiety disorder
I am 26 years old. I have been suffering form severe anxiety disorder (I feel I have social anxiety disorder)since maybe like when I was 14-15 year old. I never got diagnosed for it and due to that my life is completely going down. But now after going through it all by myself I cannot take this anymore. Life just feel meaningless to me. I want go to seek professional help. But I am highly anxious to do so. How should I decide whom to seek. Do I need to visit a psychiatrist or a psychologist or should I see them both since I have severe anxiety. Please tell me I am feeling very helpless?

Initially consult a psychiatrist. Get yourself evaluated in detail. It has to be decided whether you need to be treated with medications alone or Cognitive behavior therapy. Based on the same. Your social anxiety disorder can be treated very well. And the symptoms can be. Brought back to remission. And you can lead a happy, comfortable life. So stop worrying and consult an astute psychiatrist. At the earliest possible time. Good luck.
