I would suggest to just wait it out for a few days. Till your antibiotics course is over. Vaccination can trigger fever, body pain in some cases.

Yes, you can take the hepatitis B vaccine while on metronidazole. Antibiotics don't interfere with inactivated vaccines like hepatitis B — the vaccine works by stimulating your immune system with a non-infectious viral antigen (HBsAg), which antibiotics don't affect.

"Metronidazole and the Hepatitis B vaccine do not interfere with each other. If you are feeling mostly well and do not have a fever, it is generally safe to get the vaccine. If you currently feel sick, have a high fever, or have significant stomach upset from your infection, it is best to finish your course of medicine and get vaccinated once you are feeling better

Yes. You can take your scheduled Hepatitis B vaccine while taking metronidazole for a dental infection. Metronidazole does not reduce the effectiveness of the Hepatitis B vaccine, so there is generally no need to wait until the antibiotic course is finished. Next Steps Take the Hepatitis B vaccine on your scheduled date and continue metronidazole as prescribed. Complete the full vaccination schedule as advised by your doctor.

You do not need to delay the hepatitis B vaccine because of metronidazole; antibiotics do not reduce its effectiveness. Take the vaccine as scheduled if you have no fever or significant acute illness, and complete the prescribed dental treatment. Because you have Crohn’s disease, inform the vaccinator about any steroid or biologic medicines, as timing may matter.
Next Steps
Arrange an in-person evaluation soon. You may consult me on Practo or visit Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

Antibiotics like metronidazole treat bacteria and do not interfere with the immune response generated by an inactivated vaccine such as Hepatitis B. However, receiving a vaccine during an active acute infection or while feeling unwell can blur potential side effects, such as distinguishing vaccine-induced fever from worsening dental illness.
Next Steps
If your dental infection is mild and you are completely fever-free, you can safely take your scheduled Hepatitis B dose. If you have active facial swelling, pain, or fever, it is entirely safe and preferred to postpone the shot by a few days until your antibiotic course finishes. Please book an online consultation with me. so we can review your current Crohn's medications and vaccination timeline.
Health Tips
Postponing a Hepatitis B dose by a few days to a couple of weeks does not restart the series; the prior doses remain fully valid. Strictly avoid all alcohol consumption while taking metronidazole, as it provokes severe nausea, vomiting, and flushing. Seek prompt in-person medical evaluation if your dental infection causes facial swelling, trouble swallowing, or a high fever.

Vaccines like hepatitis B are usually fine to take while on antibiotics such as metronidazole since it isn't a live vaccine. Given you're already managing Crohn's ileitis, it's still worth confirming the timing with the doctor giving the vaccine.
