Anemic diabetic patient
My mother is diabetic and also has fatty liver. Can ghee be given to her one spoon in the entire day? She is also anemic so what food should be given to her which does not give excess glucose and are not heavy on the liver?

Give her small and frequent meal in a whole day, add zinc rich food, protein rich food. You can add some butter and ghee in her diet but avoid synthesis oil like refine oil, bran oil e.t.c they always bad for health.

Hi, Diabetes is a lifestyle disease. This can be controlled by improving your lifestyle like your eating pattern and activity. Cow Ghee melted 1 tsp /day is allowed. However one has to ensure that oil plus Ghee should not exceed more than 3-4 tsp per day. Cooking in iron vessels. Leafy vegetables, Bajra, Garden cress seeds are rich source of iron. Having lemon water with meals increases absorption of iron.

Hello Practo user, You can use 1 tsp cows ghee in her routine entire day. Give her daily 2 muzafati dates thays really good for health will help in anemia  also. Add 3 servings of fresh veggies as per season, add whole grains in her routine.
