Your vitamin B12 level has improved from 200 to 290 and the resolution of symptoms is a good sign. Since you rarely consume non-vegetarian food, B12 deficiency can recur if supplementation is stopped completely. Vitamin B12 and B-complex supplements are generally safe for long-term use and do not cause organ damage. You may continue the capsule, or switch to a lower maintenance dose (for example, once daily or a few times per week). It is reasonable to recheck B12 after 3–6 months and adjust the dose accordingly.
Next Steps
Include B12-rich foods (milk, curd, paneer, fortified cereals) if possible.
Health Tips
290 pg/mL = still low–normal, not optimal Ideal target: >400 pg/mL, especially if neurological symptoms were present Vegetarian / low non-veg intake → maintenance supplementation needed Oral methylcobalamin is very safe; excess is excreted

Your vitamin B12 level has improved and the disappearance of symptoms is a reassuring sign. Since you rarely consume non-vegetarian food, B12 deficiency can come back if supplementation is stopped completely. Supplements from the vitamin B12 and B-complex vitamin class are generally safe for long-term use. If you like, you can also opt for an online consultation with me to decide how long you may need to continue.
Next Steps
It would be good to repeat your B12 levels after some time and review the need for ongoing support. Based on your diet and symptoms, a maintenance plan can be decided. Any change should ideally be done after medical review.
Health Tips
Vitamin B12 is water-soluble, so serious long-term side effects are uncommon. Avoid taking multiple vitamin supplements together without advice. Even if you feel well, periodic monitoring helps prevent future deficiency

Your Vitamin B12 level has improved from 200 to 290, and it is good that your symptoms have resolved. Since you rarely consume non-vegetarian food, continuing Nurokind Plus RF as a maintenance supplement is safe and commonly recommended. Long-term use does not usually cause side effects when taken in advised doses. You can continue it and recheck Vitamin B12 levels once in 6–12 months.

Vitamin B12 deficiency is very common for pure vegetarians . But also possible in non vegetarians which indicates oral absorption of vitamin B12 is less . What u suggest is to go for Vitamin B12 injections once a month . Its more effective and also convinient because everyday taking tablet may be forgotten . If you are pure vegetarian go for vitamin B12 injections of 4 doses , each per week every year .

Vitamin B12 deficiency is common, especially in people who rarely eat non-veg food. Your level has improved and symptoms have settled, which is a good sign. Vitamin B12 supplements are generally safe, and long-term use does not usually cause side effects when taken in the right dose. However, once levels improve, many people do not need continuous daily capsules and can shift to a maintenance plan. You can naturally support B12 by including: • Milk, curd, paneer, cheese • Fortified cereals • Adequate protein intake Whether to continue, reduce, or stop the capsule depends on your diet, symptoms, and repeat levels. For correct long-term dosing and personalized advice, please contact me directly on Practo. Dr. RS Pankaj

Hello, If you’ve taken it routinely for three months, you can now decease it to twice a week just to maintain the stores. Additionally, you can slightly increase the frequency of non vegetarian food in your diet, try increasing intake of eggs, curd, green leafy vegetables. All this should be good enough.

If you eat non veg kindly add routine Eggs or Non Veg in your diet and also you can have paneer, curd as a b12 source As your b12 levels are on low normal sides I suggest you to have diet rich sources as B12 tablets can cause gastric upset, dyspepsia.

This combination is generally considered safe for long-term use when taken as prescribed, especially in cases of ongoing deficiency or poor dietary absorption. Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) is water-soluble, and excess amounts are typically excreted in urine, so toxicity is very rare even with prolonged supplementation.Common side effects are usually mild and temporary, such as: Nausea or vomiting Headache Stomach upset or diarrhea Skin rash
