AFI 10.2 at 35 weeks of pregnancy
Hi, I am 35 weeks pregnant. I have hypertension and taking BP medication amlodipine 5mg, I am also on ecosprin 150 mg. My BP was under control 120/80 throughout my pregnancy, however recently my readings are 130/90, and my AFI is 10.2. can you please tell me how to manage this? Is there any serious concern? Fetal Doppler and weight is normal.

Amlodipine is not the drug of choice in pregnancy, u should be on safer alternatives. AFI is alright, change the bp medication l,consult for prescription and then monitor bp.

You should not have taken Amlodioine during pregnancy. There are safer drugs available. Why do you want to manage your BP at home with the inputs from Practo Consultants ? Hypertension during pregnancy is a serious matter and should be managed under the care of the Gynaecologist who is going to look after you during your delivery.
